Buy RIDING HIGH NOW for $0.99 (click here) -                                                            Upon purchase you will receive an EMAIL from Joel with an MP3 of "Riding High" attached to it, normally within 24 hours.   " The tune has been a blast to work on! Bob Rebholz on sax and Nate Harasim on keys (and co-producing), mixed by Steve Avedis of Colorado Sound Studio all just contributing to tear it up!  The tune has a KILLER groove, and when Nate played his incredible piano solo, it gave me the idea to try to capture a New Orleans feel of a "free for all" where everyone is just going for it at the end of the tune. Bob, punches the groove with his sax and it comes together with such an aggressive ride out, that Steve's mix brings you to the edge of your seat, and hopefully, kicks the chair right out from under you, leaving you wanting more!!!    The inspiration for it came when I was driving home from a gig in Vail Colorado. It was late Ski Season and the days were growing longer. As I drove east on I-70 over Vail Pass, the ski runs of Copper Mountain we aglow in purples and oranges from the late setting sun! It looked incredible! That sight filled me with such a sense of Awe and Gratitude... to be able to make a living doing what I love, and to be there at that exact moment seeing that sight, that I just felt on top of the world. I was Riding High! This tune is my attempt to capture that moment in music! I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it! All The Best to YOU and YOURS and Keep It Smooth" !!!!  Joel

Review: Get ready for one of the strongest tracks to hit Smooth Jazz this year… “Riding High” from Colorado guitarist Joel Rodney Siemion’s forthcoming summer album release. While we have been fans of this artist’s music for some time, we honestly feel that this engaging new single is a breakout track! The energetic tune features Bob Rebholz on sax and Nate Harasim on keys with Nate lending his slick production values to the over all presentation. “Riding High” captures everything that is fun and lively about Smooth Jazz… reminiscent of the Rippingtons! Joel Rodney Siemion has a bona fide hit on his hands and we look forward to the full album this summer! ~Sandy Shore

Review: "Riding High" by Joel Rodney Siemion is yet another piece of gold to come out of the Rocky Mountains. This forward-moving, energetic track is a fantastic blend of Joel's superior guitar work, hot sax licks and solid keyboards. The clean production and driving rhythms are highlighted by Joel's chops on guitar. "Riding High" fits the straight-ahead contemporary jazz world like a pair of comfortable jeans, showcasing one of Colorado's best musicians. This track, co-produced by Joel and Nate Harasim, is sure to find a place on the playlists of many Jazz radio stations, as it has here on K-High in Denver. When you listen to "Riding High", you get an instant rush of "Happy" and the tune can't help but put a smile on your face. The first time I heard it, my jaw dropped in amazement at the simple genius Joel puts into this cut. Riding High" is a true gem of artwork, fresh from the Colorado Rockies!
